My Magic
I am humbled by the recognition that I have received by my peers in magic. Because of my creativity and unique way of connecting with an audience, many magicians here in the United States and in Canada have contacted me and requested my help in scripting their own shows. I have gladly shared my thoughts in hopes of helping them become even better performers. I have done every aspect of magic, from illusions to mentalism. Just like with us as individuals, my magic has continued to evolve as I have entertained in more and more venues and before more and more audiences. My niche is that of the motivational speaker and comedy magician/ mind reader. My honest and engaging style of magic makes me perfect for any group. I don't do large illusions or work with animals any longer. This makes me more flexible in travel and in venue. I pride myself on being the kind of entertainer who could please hundreds with nothing more than my humor and a coin. But, rest assured, I use more than that.
My Education
Education is important to me personally and, of course, it helps me better do my job. I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in business from the University of North Carolina-Wilmington. My emphasis of study was mathematic and economics. After pursuing a career in finance and banking for several years, I decided to pursue a Master's Degree from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary and completed the degree earlier than required. Later, I began my doctoral studies at Trinity Graduate School of Apologetics and Theology. I earned his doctorate in 2009. Also in 2009, believing so deeply in education, I decided to complete the Doctor of Magic Degree from the International Society of Magician's Academy. I finished the requirements and was awarded this degree by my magical brethren.
My Business Background
In addition to my performance and speaking business, I managed in the finance and banking industry for almost a decade. In addition, I actually founded and ran a profitable mortgage corporation for several years. Even though I was succesful in the financial business industry, I could not escape my passion and love for performing and teaching. Thus, I started Keith Brown Magic, a company specializing in impacting lives with magic and message.
My Teaching Background
To better validate my ability to connect with a group, I wanted to mention the 10 years I spent teaching middle and high school. In addition, several of those years were spent as the principal for 7th-12grades. During that time I had to adapt and create many lessons that would impact my students in a powerful way. I was honored to have been recognized by my selection to "Who's Who Among American Teachers" twice. The students at my school also voted to recognize me with a special award for dedication and care for the student body, their families, and my teaching staff. I am very proud of that. But most importantly, even today, after all these years, many of my former students stay in contact with me and we are able to enjoy a positive relationship with one-another.
My Speaking Background
I began public speaking in churches, schools, and for corporations even before graduating college. I have taught small groups and spoken to thousands. Each audience and need has been different and I have worked hard to meet those needs for over 20 years. I have personally developed and written several curriculums for businesses and schools. This ability to creatively share information with people has made me one of the most effective speakers on the road today.
My Writing
I have been writing for most of my life and continue to do so as much as my schedule will allow. I have four published works of fiction and I am currently writing on my fifth.
